Here's a photo of what I received. All the parts are Olin/Winchester. I compaired prices of GI parts on other web sites and consistently came up with a $1,100.00+ figure.

Very happy with what was recieved and will look over the Smith-LRB-Criterion accessories to go with it. :GS:

Looks good, I've been tossing a coin whether to get one or not. How much are barreled uppers going for?

Well, M14/M1A receivers are one-piece, so technically you're asking about "barreled receivers". :)

But to answer your question, $800+ ballpark. Stripped receivers run $500+

Fulton has parkerized ,stripped barreled receivers with a head-spaced bolt for 1,050. Unless I find a cheaper combo I think thats what I'm going to do. Hope that helps

With the "Fulton Armory" logo on their receivers, any idea where they're actually made?

I don't know where, but I do know they are cast. The bolt and barrel are of course not USGI.

Sly One, Was wondering if you have your rifle put together yet? How did it work out, would like to try one myself.

I hesiatated just a tad too long on the Fulton barreled receiver with the headspaced bolt. They had an end of summer sale @15% off a month or two ago. Total price was under $900. Keep your eye out for another sale if you are not in a hurry. I think I might wait and hit vendor's row at the summer Camp Perry matches.

Does anyone have a M14 trigger guard extra? I need one... PM me with price.

Thanks,

Hey, just saw your post. I've gathered everything together (barrel, bolt, firing pin, mags) that did not come with the kit. I just need to save my allowance for the biggy, the receiver. Thinking of going LRB. I also bought a complete pin set on Gunbroker. The pins were a little bent or worn that came with the CMP set.

There is a guy over on TFL who sells two complete sets of roll pins for the m14 (12 pins total) for about $5 shipped.

They work well (ask me how I know :) )

That is one of the nicer kits Ive seen to be sure. Ive seen "Group Buys" once in awhile on the TFL forum for Reciever, Barrel & Headspaced bolt.

Ive taken a big pass on this one, total rifle will exceed $2K considering parts, Gunsmithing & Park service.
