Comparing it to mine, I'd say it looks legitimate.

thanks everyone

I have noticed if you really want to look at a part and be critical of it take some pictures with a macro lens - all the little imperfections seem to show up

The sight is real. It mostly looks SA manufactured. The lock bar apprears to be a WRA.

Why do you think it is a WRA lock bar? It all looks SA to me.

Amit,
I was thinking the curved undercutting on the back side of the lockbar indicated WRA. The picture of the sight diassembled showing the outside end view of the lock bar looks very similar to the picture in Larry B*****k's book indicating WRA. I admit the outer machining has some roughness but not to WRAs norm. I will defer to your judgement.

"I was thinking the curved undercutting on the back side of the lockbar indicated WRA."

That curve you talk about indicates it to be a type II - could be SA or WRA. Some WRA lock bars are very distinctive and others, very closely if not all the way, resemble an SA. If I saw that type II bar on an SA or WRA I'd call it correct.

The curved cut on the back is used on both SA and WRA curved end lock bars. The square end lock bars are different. SA used a square cut on thier square end lock bars, but WRA used the curved cut. Here is a pic of the back of both a round end and square end WRA lock bar and a pic of the back of a SA square end lock bar.
