Zeroing a repro M84
Hi all,

I have a Repro M84 scope mounted on my CMP M1D And I've been reading up on how to properly zero it.

First off there isn't much out there about this process in print or video which surprised me.

My issue is that I'm able to loosen the larger nut on the elevation turret but the small nut loosens with it. Also when the nut is loose the knob does not spin freely, it still clicks into position as if the nuts were tight.

I've read the basic procedure which is to zero the scope at the range. Loosen the big nut, turn the knob to the number of the distance you zeroed at and then tighten.

However it doesn't seem like I can do that if the knob won't spin freely.

I believe I got the scope from numrich a few years ago, no idea of the manufacturer.

Thanks, any help is appreciated.

Hey thanks for the link. I had actually seen that one in my search for info.

My issue is that loosening the big outer nut doesn't release the turret from the internal mechanism. So if I spin the turret to reset the range markings it clicks like its adjusting the reticle.

Its possible this is just how it works but I can't find a straight answer online as to what is correct.

when you loosen the nut, lift the turret then set it back down where you need it
