Standard Products RG arrived (lots o' pics)
My Standard Products rack grade arrived yesterday. Not bad overall. Stock has couple chunks taken out. It's been to Italy (FAT stamp). No other cartouches visible other than a 'P' proof mark. Barrel was spotless; nothing came out on a patch. The rifle was otherwise very gooey and I had wipe off a lot of cosmo to take pics. Serial number is 20799xx.

On to the gun porn!

Does it say STD. PRO. under there somewhere?

Great looking rifle, I got my Standard Products SG back in August. The stock looks to be in about the same shape. With a lot of scrubbing and cleaning I finally got the cross canons and some letters to start appearing. I hope the same turns out for you.

That carbine should clean up real nice. Your slide was manufactured by Packard for Inland if I remember correctly. :D

Thanks for the pics, looks good! Nice wood, and better metal than mine. I think the Marlin barrel is cool too. What's the MW? Any marks inside the slingwell?

Too bad the stock has that FAT stamp on it. I will bet you may have a cartouched type 3 stock under the gunk. Let us know what you find.

I like your stock
I got my SP RG the other day also. Check out "the ugly gun post.
I think mine came with your Rock-Ola trigger group. Where the heck are all the Italians (carbines that is) coming from. Me thinks they are getting down to the bottom of the carbine pile. What's the MW, mine was a 3.

I don't have a gauge, but there is probably a little over 1/4" showing with the M2 round test. No dings in the crown. I can't see any marks in the wood other than the Italian stamp and proof mark yet.
