Shipping when buying

I understand if one were to fly in, buy a rifle and show plane ticket CMP will ship for free just as if mail ordered.
Every year I do cross country motorcycle to either New England (which takes me near Camp Perry) or to the Carolinas which would let me make a little side trip to the South Store.
If I were to buy a rifle or two would you ship it same as if I flew?

Thanks

You are good with ticket, must pay local tax at either site

That's not what the man is asking. He wants to know if he can buy a Rifle and have it shipped if he is on a Cross Country trip on a Motorcycle. Not flying Cross Country.
Your best bet would be to call ahead of time and ask if you could purchase a rifle and have it shipped since your on a Motorcycle.

It is my understanding that it only applies to one who flies in!!

worst case..buy your rifle..buy the shipping box right there..borrow some shipping tape and a sharpie..go to the post office in port Clinton and mail the box home...

...actually..started riding bikes in the 60's..LOTS of miles...then got into enduros and scrambles....but I HAVE seen 12 people and 6 large sacks of rice on a motorcycle going down the road so I am confident that one American can get one box to the post office .. box is approx. 4" thick..approx. 14" wide and approx. 4 1/2 ft long...never seen a guy on a bike touring that didn't have bungi cords..no problem..

Hi Mac, Not sure if you have really checked a map, but from the Carolinas to Aniston is about a 6 1/2 hour drive.

Yes, but Iím coming from Oregon, so Iíll pass by pretty close going through Southern TN.

Thanks for all the replies. Yes my plan if they wonít ship is to just ship it myself. Iíd have to ship it to someone else since I wouldnít be home until a couple weeks later.
