As issued M1 garand rear aperture size
 
The rules say its ok to modify the rear aperture hole size.
Although no NM sights right?
So Im DQd for this

But I can fill and cut any size aperture .???

Can i put a .100" front blade on like the 1 903/a3/others mentioned in the rules.

You'd be ok with that aperture. Any size opening is allowed, just no hood or removable insert.


Can't speak to the front blade width.

but its a NM sight?
I thought only NM op rods and gas cylinders where allowed?

You can have smaller aperture... it cannot be marked like the one in the photo, though.

Didn't know that. I have that same NM aperture on my Garand so I'm illegal too.

This is kinda vague, the rule book used to say the front post had to be mil spec, then gave some dimensions. I no longer see that part in the rule book. The section that's supposed to have the garand mods in it has carbine information in it. Must have been an editing error
