Gratuitous "Combat" reference...
 
Greetings from Kansas...just joined, have loved the Garand since the early sixties watching "Combat". Owned a Blue Sky Korean rifle in the late '80's, and let it get away, unfortunately. Now am the proud owner of a January '42 production SA. It's a great shooter!! :D

Got my love for the M1 carbine from Lt Hanley on "Combat". Started out with a Crosman M1 B-B gun. Wish I still had it. I thought that thing could really shoot.

I guess I shouldn't have chosen "Sgt. Saunders" as a user name tho, since he almost always carried a Thompson...but that's where I first saw a Garand, and I just always thought Saunders was the COOLEST...he just LOOKED like a WWII GI should look, in my eyes!!:D
