Any lead rebuilds being found in current batch of Philippine rifles?

I have not seen any at the south store. Several RRAD rebuilds and SA Rebuilds and even what I believe to be a Benicia rebuild, but I have not seen any LEADs so far.

Rob

Oh, I would not mind turning the clock back a few years and start seeing unmolested 60's rebuilds at the store again.

Same here, no LEAD rebuilds that I have seen.

What is special about LEAD rebuilds? I see lots of comments about them.

They are not uncommon and other than their distinctive finish there's nothing physically "special" about them. Because of the attention they get most collectors just want one.

Rifle rebuilt at Letterkenny Army Depot. Those with leg etches like the one pictured above were rebuild in the 60s

Other Arsenals that etched legs during the same time period:
- Springfield (SA)
- Red River Army Depot (RRAD)
- Tooele (TE)
- Anniston (A4 or BA4)

- I also tend to throw the Marine Corps Rebuilds even though they etched the top of the receiver (O-6X)
