My 3 Remingtons:

40X- CMP USMC Barreled Action, other parts from Numrichs (I'm a plinker not a BR shooter hence my choice of scope)
1917- Found locally, mixmaster, JA barrel MW 0, gets 1- 1.5" groups @100 yrds with my handloads
1903- CMP Greek return mixmaster, A3 SC stock, replaced the old bolt with a NOS B&S to get a tighter headspce. Original barrel with MW just under 4 (!) but I can still get 2.5- 3" groups at 100 yards with handloads

Lyman 48C on a near original 1921 1903 (Rear sight removed, Lyman 48 added).

Standard addition for civilian owners back in the day. A lot more precise, and very similar in sight radius to a 1903a3.

This was the same sight as Springfield Sporters.

1/2 MOA adjustment Elevation, and the windage is the same as a standard M1905 rear sight. Each graduation is equal to 4 MOA (4 inches at 100 yards).

What kind of scope is that? Never have seen one like it before.

I believe that is a Warner and Swasey telescopic sight, WWI era.

FrankD 10-05-2011 05:42 PM

It is a Warner & Swasey musket sight model of 1913. There was also a 1908 Musket Sight that was very similar. It is a prismatic scope.
