Malcolm hi lux 8x scope problem
My 1903A1 repro with a Malcolm scope has developed a "ghost image or shadow of the black", for lack of a better term. It's slight, but just enough throw me off a minute at 100 yards on some shots. The objective is still a little smudgy even after using a lens pen to clean it.
Any ideas of the cause and solution, should I use something else to clean the lens?
Any help is appreciated.

I'd use a lens pen only if it was an emergency. I prefer a clean microfiber cloth with a few drops of 99% Isopropyl Alcohol to clean, then use a dry part of the cloth to polish. I think it's very important to get all the grit and dust that gets blown around outdoors off the glass prior to any rubbing with anything.

It could be a lens that is separating. Looking at the front lens at a slight angle do you see a blue tint?

Found the resolution
After talking to a Malcolm tech i resolved my problem. The objective focused screwing out, it doesn't screw back in, it must be pushed back. Then you can start the focusing process again. I hope that all makes sense.

That's the same way I think my Targetspot 10x works
