Korean ammo
With all this talk of garands and carbines returning home. Does anybody know if the Korean Govt has caves full of ammo like the Greeks did? Maybe a boat load of USGI Map ammo?
|
You would think so.

I on the other hand would think not so much. Remember all of the PS and KA ammo that was imported and sold from Korea a few years ago? Would not think they would hold onto USGI ammo older than the domestically produced ammo they were selling to US surplus market. Now some countries in South America or maybe Viet Nam ( captured stores) might be a different story.

Vietnam did have a great deal of 30-06, Garands and BARs were everywhere in the 1960s and Browning MGs used until wars end. I am sure the Lake City 60s and 70s date 30-06 production was a VN supply item. Sadly I think US ammo in SEA has been stored in a pile in the sun and rain for 40 years, forget the cool dark cave thing...
