Forum "Like" capability

Ghost or Mark,

Any chance we can get the "Thank you" function turned on for the forum? It enables users to like a post without needing to comment on it. Other forums using this forum structure/software have it. Thanks!

ETA: Weimar police correctly pointed out that it's really a "thank you" button" and not a "like" button.

Why? What practical purpose does that serve?

Seems pretty self-explanatory.

I have seen the use for this also.

Please turn it on.

It serves no purpose, but why not!

I don't think my first post had that many words, so it must be a comprehension problem. Here is the key phrase: It enables users to like a post without needing to comment on it.

It's a function used on most other gun forums on which I lurk and it's a simple and easy way to show you support something that has been said. This forum has thousands of members, and hundreds of them log on every day, but commenting is left to a minority. I figure it helps folks feel like a part of the conversation and gives a new means where folks can participate.

I don't want CMP to spend $1 on adding it, but if it's already there and it's just a matter of flipping a switch....

Per member's request, thread cleaned up and BTT for consideration and answer by Ghost or Mark.

Rob

It also stops all the (+1's) posts.
