Singer Main Spring Housing?

Picked up a Remington-UMC arsenal parkerized (yes should have been blued) & in really looking it over I compared the 1911A1 Main Spring Housing (yes I know should have been flat) to Clawson's book. If I counted right there are nine columns. Looks like a Singer to me. What do you guys think?https://imgur.com/mT8AAYm

Thinking it might be an early Rem Rand. But full disclosure, I've never handled a Singer.

I have no idea. But, in looking closely I am counting only eight columns of little diamonds. Don't know if that is significant or not.

YMMV.

Okay....got the identity from a gun show friend of mine who is as authoritative as any I know on 1911/1911A1. It is a 37 row Remington Rand made in 1943.

Same on my early 1944 Remington Rand and yes silver color.
