I would add Reloader15 to your list.

One more vote for Varget.

Don't buy a keg, of any powder, until you have worked up a load for your rifle.

I like AA2015 in my 223 and my 30-06

IMR4895, H4895, Varget, and Reloader 15 all work very well for heavy .223 bullets, .308, & .30-06. I mainly use H4895 for my Garand. Recently, I bought some Accurate 2495 for about $8/pound less than H4895 or Varget. So far, I have tried it in 168 grain .308 loads. My groups are the same size as when I use Varget or RE15, but the brass and barrel seem to stay cooler with the Accurate 2495. Just my $0.02 worth.

How many of you that are recommending Varget, are using Dillon presses? I have heard it doesn't meter well through the Dillon powder drops, but I have also heard other people say it works fine if you wait a couple of seconds between cranks of the handle.

613- I suspect that is good advice on all powder meters. I found my best results with a smooth pull, wait a few seconds, and smoothly back up, and another pause before doing the next drop. No taps or anything. just smooth consistent motions with a pause between actions so the powder can settle itself
