Haw hard are 30 rd magazines, specific to the make of Carbine to come by?

A little hard if you are wanting Winchester or Inland 30 round mags. Very hard to impossible to find a 30 round magazine for any of the other manufacturers.

30 round magazines were not made for any specific carbine except for Inland if I am recalling correctly. I have 30 round magazine from four different manufactures (all USGI) and don't have an Inland marked one.

My interest would be one or two for a National Postal Meter, but if they don't exist I may have to take what's out there.

just be carful there are more aftermarket 30 rounders then military 30 rounders, that are notorious for not working. just because you find one that has a 'W" , "AYP" on the spine isn't a indication it's real military, there are phonies out there as well :)

there are websites and YOUTUBE vids that will show you the subtle difference between the 2, I would look at those before buying

the days of randomly picking up off a gun show table a USGI 30 round mags are a tad bit more difficult, then say 20 years ago or so

I read an article that said during the assault weapons ban, the manufacturers of the good ones of course had to stop making them, and during that time all there was to be had were ones already in circulation. When the AWB ran out, a lot of crappy ones started being made. For me it would be hard to see if the springs were too weak in one, and also some made won't lock the bolt open on the last shot. I would trust buying here off the forum before I would ever order one
