found a beatiful 03a3

I can't really say why I want an 03a3 other than well....I just think its a cool piece to have. The 'ol bolt guns just draw me in. What makes the a3 stand out of course is the sights.

I've been waiting for the right one to come up....tight barrel, scant stock, "big" trigger guard (winter trigger guard?). Kind of an odd combination to find.

Would you believe I found theee rifle locally?

Price is 750. And guess who just dropped a couple "bills" on a .22 upper for my service rifle? This guy :eek::cry: I have two really nice (and accurate) milsurps that are chambered in weird calibers and reloadable brass is costing me my retirement LOL. Should I sell them to fund this purchase for a common caliber with full length sights? Very tempting. Someone talk me out of this!

You're asking the wrong one here. It would have followed me home.

Yea how do you like that? Its a Timber I believe. Its the largest snake I ever saw in the wild and I was geekin out when my girlfriend spotted it. I practically stepped on it when we were hiking the AT. A few feet from that snake was a pile of copper heads in a rock crevice.

I probably shouldn't tell her I found a nice 03a3 haha...here she is with my K31:
http://s1007.beta.photobucket.com/us...tml?sort=3&o=9 She shot a nice 10 shot 2.5 inch group at 100 yards that day.

Looks good, from what I can see of the one photo. If the sling is an original M1907 in good condition, that can add $75-100. Again, hard to tell.

If the bore is in excellent condition, just buy it.

Nice A3, I want one too. That rattler would have made a nice meal! Big fat one. And if your GF shoots that K31 while holding it like that, she's gonna be mighty unhappy.

Where were these snakes located?

This pic was just a pose because I forgot to take the camera to the range. Which should be obvious as it is indoors.

If you're from eastern pa and hiked the AT recently you probably have seen them. This is at the look out...hiked in from 645.
