Vortex Ranger, looks like a good option.

Have been checking out scopes and found this one from Vortex:

Looks like a pretty decent scope for the money. Seeing them go for just south of $400 new. The zero stop turrets are great. 1/2MOA clicks and a MOA reticle. Anyone running one of these yet? Looks a lot like the discontinued Viper PST, which I've been thinking about picking up a used one. Looks like they have brought it back under a different model.

Running about $370 at Midway and it's actually in stock, as of today anyway.

Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with Vortex or anything. I've classically been a Leupold fan. But after having a few issues with my more recent budget leupolds, I've become a Vortex fan. Reasonable cost and great quality.

It is the old PST.

I now shoot a NF on my SR's but think the Vortex line is a great choice. I used a Viper PST to get me to DR and 2 HM's. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the 1/2min clicks. POI on one side of the x...one click and you are on the other side of the x. I'm not as good at shading as I'd like to be so the 1/4's work better for me. Vortex Customer Service can not be beat.

Thanks to the guys at the last match in Muskegon, I ordered one. It came today. Nice looking scope. Iíll have to get another upper built soon. Ordered all the other parts just need a barrel. Next paycheck.

I'm thinking I'm going to get one too. Getting geared up for next year. I've been spending tons of dry fire time standing and sitting. So I'm gonna pick one up and start getting used to it. Dry firing has been helping me tremendously. I cant believe the difference it's made in my shooting. Hopefully some better glass will help with my positions.

If you use the compare feature on vortex’s website, the Ranger and the Viper PST have the exact same specs. Just throwing that out there

I have a Viper PST and love it. Tracks well, good illumination...

I bought it with the intent to save money and buy a Nightforce. After about 500 rounds, I could tell that short of a catastrophic malfunction, I won't be needing a replacement.

I bought this scope about a month ago; until then I was still holding out with an A2. Since the switch, all of my personal bests have jumped quite a bit, and I'm now averaging a shade over 97 in standing over the last 100+ rounds. Needless to say, I'm very pleased.

I bought it used from a member of the US Palma team. He used it to go Distinguished in just a few matches. If its good enough for him, its good enough for me.

A Vortex Viper PST got me to my DR badge, and High Master in 2 different disciplines. GREAT scope. The only reason I went to a Night Force is for the 1/4" clicks. You will do well with that scope.
