Springfield M1903 Mark I 1918 production $650
Sold sold sold

U.S. Springfield Armory
Model 1903
Mark I
Serial Number 1053018. Makes it 1918 production.
Original (the bolt that came with the gun when I got it) bolt with the rifle was been swapped with a surplus "bent" bolt from Sarco that I installed and checked headspace with Forster gauges -- the pictures show the new bolt body installed, but the original bolt is included as well. With the bolt swap, it is safe to shoot. (As I understand)

Pictures show arsenal, rearsenal, and etc marks. Here is what I see in the markings -- if you need more detail or a better photo, just let me know.
Barrel marked SA 12-18 A with flame bomb. Guessing original.
Behind trigger guard: P.
Left side of stock: RA-P and AAD
Under magazine selector: S
On the magazine selector: R

The bolt that came with the gun when I got the gun. Included.
The bolt I bought from Sarco, when I explained to the Sarco rep. I think it was $50 or so.

And the bolt on the gun from the factory? Not sure!

Someone emailed with a trade for a Sig MK25. Thank you but not looking for that at this time.

This rifle is still available! I haven't done anything with it since the last post. I have however ceased to renew my 03 C&R FFL.

$650 FTF, ships for $40

Did it not headspace properly with the bolt it came with? Did it not pass the no-go or not pass the field gauge test (or both)?

It closed on go and nogo on the original bolt, and then closed only on go with the new bolt body. Neither closed on field. That was with a set of Forster gauges from Midway USA in 2009.
