Curious, do any of the mounts he has listed match with your rifle?

Ha! no, I wish. Maybe just stick with repro then?

I think I know exactly what Shomway is thinking t... think about it. The only mount that's really going to add "significant" collector value to your rifle is the one numbered to your rifle. Adding a legit but mismatching $2500 mount to a $3050 CMP M1C won't make that rifle and mount worth $5500. I use a G&H mount that Tokiwartooth made from a vintage aluminum civilian mount he modified. Most folks couldn't tell the difference without a magnet :-). Now an original mount is way cool... but is it $2500 cool ? To a guy with the matching rifle I think so, other ? Not so much IMHO...

I bought a USGI M1D Mount from him and a scope. Both were legit.

Numrich has a pretty decent steel repro M1C mount.
I purchased one for my M1C and am quite happy with it.

Just for grins I thought I would show what the Numrich mounts loo like.

They come with the base also, but you likely already have a base on your rifle so the base, screws and pins would be left over.

                  good luck,

Nice. Maybe I could get the spare bracket installed on one of my shooters.
