When I was stationed down at Fort Campbell, Ky We would have Post Guard Duty two times a year. I would always end up on patrol in the Post Ammo Dump. They would put 4 of us out at the Dump. One at the Guard shack and the other 3 of us would patrol with a field pack Radio each and a 1911 on our side. They would give us each three bullets for our Magazine We were allowed to have it in our pistol but none in the chamber. I used to think it was crazy guarding the ammo dump with 12 bullets between the four of us and there was millions of rounds of ammo in the dump.
