FYI- Caswell’s can also be used to touch up steel parts like your rear and front sight ears and small scratches in parkerized finishes. Degrease and apply with a Q-Tip, let it darken, rinse with water and oil. Don’t leave the raw chemical on steel any longer than it takes to darken.

This can also be used on Garand gas cylinders too......
