I'll work on pictures, I looked at it again last night and there is no staking or angle cuts. Barrel is a 9/51. Mount has no serial number on it.

Default Interested too?

Im interested too. Planning a trip in May to the North Store. Last time I was there it was nothing but a sea of M1C's and I didn't want to shell out the $$$ for one. I would be interested in what to look for.

Winnie,
I'm considering buying a M1C. and do not have a mount.
Would you describe your repro Numrich mount? Is it a quality mount??
Has anyone compared to a real G&H mount?
Has the Numrich mount been previously discussed on this forum??
Thanks for your help.

Mine was the same as what was described in the linked thread, fits perfectly, but I have not put a scope on it yet. For less than 1/10th the price of a USGI one, I can deal with the repro factor.

Winnie & Shomway,
Thanks to both of you. I plan on calling Numrich tomorrow to see if the mounts are still on sale.

Yes, but they are not the same as the original WW2 mounts. The mounts currently available from G&H are aluminum, with a different roll mark than found on USGI mounts. Also, they are quite a bit more expensive than the Numerich mounts.

They do indeed, not identical to the originals but still pretty classy. The rings are 1" inside diameter instead of the original 7/8", so mount a modern 1" scope or buy the Brownell's reducers and mount a 7/8" M81/82/84 scope. They are roll-stamped "GRIFFIN & HOWE, NEW YORK" without the patent date and are the commercial model. High quality and still preferable to the ChiCom mfd. model IMHO.
