Thanks, that is the kind of real-life experience I was hoping to find. Have you ever gotten any beef from a buyer on that requirement?

Thanks again!

Default ammo

Only once in over 5 years. I recieved payment with no ID. When I contacted the buyer via e-mail He said it was an oversight and would send it and to please go ahead and ship him the ammo. I waited a week and called a home phone number that matched up to the address he wanted the ammo shipped. (Yes you can find ANYTHING on the internet if you know where to look.) Turns out his Father knew nothing about his FOURTEEN YEAR OLD SON ordering ammo on-line. I cashed the MO and purchased another and returned it to the father. That is the only time somone has refused to send me proof of age. I always tell them they can cover/cut out any info on the id except name and DOB. That is all I want and I destroy them after confirming age. This is nothing more than someone would have to do if ordering from any on-line wholesaler.

microwaveguy;

This is interesting news, to me anyway. I just re-newed my 03FFL, and this is the first I've heard of this exemption. J&G has an old copy of my license on file, I'd better get off my rear end and get a current copy sent to them asap.

Thanks for the info.

Yup ........ look at 12318(c)(6)

Code and the regulations issued pursuant thereto whose licensed

More California AB962 craziness...
The law which takes effect Feb. 1 DOES NOT actually ban internet sales of
ammunition. See the thread here:

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...nterneet+Sales

However.....sellers neither believe nor understand that and take the legally safe stance of No Shipping to California.....

Thats news to me.. Somehow missed that one! I guess its time to fill out that application I have siting around, though I wonder how many on-line retailers will honor it.
