Default LC 52 30 Carbine Berdan Primer

I found this while sizing some brass I recently bought. All mixed head stamp. Mostly US with a smattering of Aguila mixed in.

This one pushed my decapping pin out. I figured maybe the case had a small rock or something blocking the flash hole. Nope. Turns out it is a Berdan case.

Not sure what to make of it. I thought all USGI stuff would be Boxer.

Anyone have any idea?

Here are some photos I found online. Interesting that the ammo was apparently made as counterfeit American but the box is not even close. Possibly the ammo was repacked later for sale?

M1 carbine ammo is 7.62 X 33mm. So the box in theory is correct.....FWIW

Also no red primer sealer as is in USGI ammo. Maybe LC is for Ling Chung?

I meant the box doesn't mimic USGI packaging/labeling not that caliber designation was incorrect.

I was given a 50-round white box of 30 Carbine ammo labeled "Cartouchos", turns out it also is corrosive, like the Chinese stuff, and made in the Dominican Republic. Don't have a pic, but here's a good link that discusses it.

Lousy Chi-Coms....

Hopefully there aren't too many more of these in this big bag of range brass.
