Default 40X HB Stock Pics

The 40x stock basement find, got me to thinking. I bought a 40x stock at a gunshow about 4 or 5 years ago. Put it in the garage, I think. Took me a day to find it, at least it has the handstop.

do you remember how much you paid for it? It at least would give us a frame of reference of what is, and is not a good deal.

I don't know what he paid for the stock but I can tell you just the swivel, base (handstop), screw and nut are going for $50+ IF you can find them.

Yours is an "XB" series. I believe it was produced later than this batch of "40-X"'s. There are a few minor differences, but the major one being that I believe yours is based off of the 700 action and some of the X series are based off of the 722 action. I'm sure someone who knows a little more than me will chime in here and help.

Default Pictured stock is...

Probably from a 722 action with straight bolt handle by the handle cut-out. It would have the stamped metal TG and floor plate. Can't tell from pics if it is std. or hvy bbl channel. Nice looking stock! GOOD find
