Default Redfield Sight Question

Is there a major difference in the Olmpic, International or Palma sight?

Your question is pretty well answered in the thread "Best Redfield sights?" further on in this forum. Here is the link (if I get this right)

Depends on your definition of "major difference". On the one hand the difference is $25 and $50. On the other hand, they are all match quality sights. Is the extra difference between them worth the additional $25 and $50 - YES! But that is just my opinion.

If you are looking for a blow by blow design differance, the Palma has additional internal backlash reduction (I think springs) to enhance repeatability on the settings but the International and even the older Olympic can still be used with success once you get to know their quirks.

Bottom line is, unless you are looking for a vintage correct collectible, buy the best sight you can afford and in this case that would be the Palma from the CMP.

Regards,

Bluewolf beat me to it, that is a good thread. The 40X is a great rifle, certainly more accurate than I can shoot, don't skimp on the sights.
