Default Once Fired Brass Value?

I was just shocked to see 100 pieces of once fired LC 67 sell for .46 per case shipped here on the forum.
Is that the going rate? The last I remember seeing sell was maybe around .17-.18 ea. and then it seemed most reloaders thought it should be around .15 a case

Default Once Fired Brass Value?

Just someone getting into reloading as part of the panic and a seller happy to oblige Iím sure. The panic has driven the cost of everything firearms related up some. Those that are prepared can wait for the wave to subside. ...have you seen primers lately LOL

I sold some HXP brass here last week for .17 cpr. Think that is still about the going rate... but maybe LC brass is just that more valuable to some people??

I'm quite wary of "once fired" LC brass in 7.62mm or 5.56mm in particular. 99% or more of these casings are from M240 / M60 or M249 MGs and those weapons have slightly larger chambers to allow continuous firing without cleaning and thus the case will expand more than a cartridge fired in an M14 or M16. When one goes to resize the case for reloading, the brass gets stained more than I would like and thus can lead to a crack or separation more so than brass fired from a rifle.

This pretty much does not apply to .30 Cal M2 because MGs in .30 Cal went by the wayside decades ago.

So HXP once fired is good to go as far as I'm concerned. So is LC in .30Cal, but the current NATO calibers - nope, I don't want MG fired casings.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Buying small quantities would make the per case price skyrocket because of the added fee for postage. It's standard to stick about 650 - 700 cases in a medium priority box which would make shipping a little over two cents each for that quantity. 150 in a small priority is close to seven cents each, a hundred even more. Buy bigger numbers.

I not sure brass is as valuable as some people think...because the other components (bullets, powder, primers) are in short supply.

I saved all my rifle brass over the years and my 45ACP brass as well.

And none of it was fired from an MG
