Hi Spearhead! I used to do a LOT of shooting over in your neck of the woods at the Eagle Creek Range. That was in my PPC pistol days, plus the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy used to use that facility for firearms training before building their own range at the Academy. If they keep building housing additions around the academy, ILEA may be back to using Eagle Creek again... Nice hearing from you!

Been shooting lately at the Martinsville gun club, no matches close by. Oh ya, in Greenwood here, hop, skip and a jump from county line road.

Smile I shoot at Old Trails Rifle & Pistol Club near Richmond.

Spearhead & Chuck...
I used to shoot in the State PPC courses back in the mid to late 80's. I gave that up when my son started heavy into the BMX bike racing. Then I only shot for recreation on occasion (revolvers and pistols mostly); taught my son in marksmanship and firearms safety over the years. He learned very well and has kept his proficiency up for years.
For the past couple of years, a good friend of mine kinda suckered me into a couple benchrest .22 rimfire matches. I'm now addicted to that sport.
I have a 14 year old granddaughter that I am poised to teach firearms safety and marksmanship to. I am a firm beleiver that EVERYONE should know how to defend themselves, and have a basic knowledge of firearms. If she takes to marksmanship like her dad did, she'll do fine. And I'll worry about her a little less.

Smile Spearhead

I'd love to shoot at Martinsville but their membership is full for 2011. Maybe next year.

Hoppy
Please let me know when you have Garand matches. I would love to come. Indy isn't to long.

Thanks
