They haven't put up their 2011 calendar yet. Colorado Rifle Club

Aurora Gun Club. Scroll down for the CMP Service Rifle matches. Doug Ruegg and Pete Benoit are the contacts.

Buffalo Creek Gun Club. because of the location, in the mountains near Bailey they won't start shooting until late spring.

I don't think Boulder Rifle club has Garand/Springfield matches.

Lots of oppurtunity to shoot once the snow stops. There are a few more.
Frontier Sportsmen in Colorado Springs and Pueblo West in Pueblo. Both of which run monthly matches.

Here is a link to the club calendar (also no 2011 CMP updates yet)...

The matches are at the Falcon range on the north end of town so might not be too bad of a drive for you. I am a member so if you are interested in checking it out let me know.

Mat;

Welcome to the Forums Sir. Indeed, you live in a very beautiful state. I had the privilege of getting to hunt Mule Deer in the Rifle area back in 1965 IIRC, time has a way of erasing our memory. Three of us walked into a combination sporting goods, grocery, and whatever else you might want kind of store. Being from out of state, we had to pay $47.50 for the two [2] deer tag and license. Those were the days.

Any chance of some pics of your Garand?

Wishing you and yours a Happy New Year.

Stan

I don't have a close up of the Garand worth anything yet, but here is one that features Colorado a little bit more
