Default Spring cleaning and maintenace of optics.

Been busy as a one armed paper hanger lately getting ready for the Spring shooting season. This morning when I went down into the shop and looked at the pile of scopes to be cleaned I decided to lay out one of each of the different types of optics that I use on the M14.
Half the fun is in the cleaning, remounting and re-sighting. A couple of weeks and these and the rest should all be ready for the season.

"And the rest" ? Obviously you don't have enough optics!
Very nice, enjoy your shooting season.

At least annually for all my semi autos, but some more often if they are moved between different rifles. Some rifles they can be on and off a half dozen times a day on the range when switching between iron and optic. Properly lapped and mounted, I have found that there can be less than a moa of change in zero.
My range is less than 100' out the door so they all get a reasonable workout.
A few of my precision bolt rifles get the optics cleaned while they are still mounted.
This is an old photo of some of my scoped M14s. I have added about a dozen XM21s to the herd since.
