I'm sure there are guys who know more than me, but I like the first one, but the second one looks like it may be a repro casting.

Unless I am missing something, both are real.

Can you weigh them?

Curious...

Default Sight #2

The 2nd sight, 2nd link:

https://imgur.com/a/ypb0G

I'm not making any type of call but:
1: notice that neither side of the sight pin is staked.
2: could be more common than known, but when looking at picture 5 you can see on the backside of the tall leaf, that the counter sunk/bored hole is off set, showing more reveal on the left side than the right side.

As far as weighing, This winter I've taken up the hobby of weighing known real flip sights to ones with some..... lets say 'Mystery' around them. Getting more interesting the more I'm able to compare. At this time I won't release any 'findings' publicly. And Highly recommend any other collector do the same.

Good Weekend to you,

Default I dunno

I'm no expert and we're only looking at pictures, but -

Sight #1 does have stake marks on both sides of the pin, I think. I would vote real (original) for that one.
Sight #2 looks repro to me. Something make me question it. Besides weighing it, taste it and see if it tastes salty - like just off the boat from China.

Let us know what you discover. Thanks.
