Im guessing "Velocity" is actually "Velocitor", which is CCI.

Default Cci

The "Velocity" is CCI Standard Velocity (SV) Lead Round Nose (LRN). It comes in a blue box. Just got mine.

What I received was .22 Amscor LR Standard Velocity (4C22SVSP-5000) 40 gr SVSP SKU 50012PH and that was the only offer they made to me . . . at $300.00 delivered per the Email and phone discussion but billed at $405.00!!!

Received my order today, took the CCISV option. CMP is amazing, I'm sure it's not easy for them to come up with ammo to fill orders from three plus years ago.

I ended up returning the ammo for a refund and I'll order the Aguila (my original CMP order) for much less than CMP charged me for the Amscor.

Default No updates to this in 4 months, maybe more 22LR is in

I got the e-mail today for my order.
Originally placed 01/05/2014 for 419ASVSE .22LR Standard Velocity SP Centurion @ $260.00.
Now they offered Eley, and they say it is special:
We have received a small quantity of the following item that we can substitute your order for: Eley .22 Standard Velocity 40 GR 1090FPS 5000 Rd case (Item 4C22ELYSTD-5000) for $354.95 per case. This is a special .22 load exclusively manufactured for the CMP by Eley. We do not expect to have any other manufactures to offer after this.
They know their audience, "exclusively manufactured fpr the CMP" means I have to take it. I don't have a choice, that's like telling me it is in boxes signed by Orest.

I'll post some pictures when it gets here.

Eley is definitely good stuff, but you can get the exact product elsewhere that you and I ordered years ago for less than the CMP price they quoted us back years ago, less than $260/case.

Fortunately I am content to receive something other than the exact product I ordered years ago.
My experience with Eley ammunition is that I will be happier with what they are offering me.

I got the same email. Is it lower end target ammo or bulk back ammo with Eley's name attached to it? Which Eley load would it compare to? Trying to decide if I should get this or pass.

Aguila is Eley primed. Other than the smell, I've never had any issues with it and I've run ~10K thru a number of handguns to date. Of course, I do not compete and am not a bullseye shooter, so that might result in a different decision for those that are.
