Default successful Mann rifle?

I was wondering if anyone has actually developed an accurate/competitive target rifle from one of these devices? I like the idea of the heavy barrel etc. but am a novice long range shooter. Has anyone here used one for more than 200yds on a regular basis and if so what type of competition would it be useful for? Thanks much!

Yes I have seen pictures of a couple of them shooting itty bitty holes at 300 yards and beyond. Use it for F class.

Occasionally I shoot mine as an FTR rifle at 600 only. Although capable of shooting cleans from bags it really isn't competitive shooting from a folding bi-pod.
I refuse to join the ranks of those who are using bi-pods that more closely resemble F-open rests.
To win around here at 600 you must be able to shoot 598+ with 35+ Xs. Tough crowd.

Definitely a tough crowd! You should be able to hold your own off the bench with that Mann though. I am waiting for the anodizing to be finished on the scope rail for mine. Then I just have to finish fitting the final tweaks on the stock. Soon, very soon! As an aside I have not seen another Mann device at the CMP North since. Anyone seen anything at South?

My understanding is that they are gone forever.

I am hoping to finish my build this winter. I am still working on fitting the stock. We had so much rain and humidity this summer, I stopped and let it sit in the safe.
