Default Piccatinny Rail Interest

Hi all. I am in the process of making a piccatinny rail for my mann project. In light of the work it takes to do this. I figured I could make 5 to 10 more after we get it exactly like we want it for sale to anyone who is interested. No I don't have a price yet. I am mostly looking to see if there is even enough interest to proceed that far.

Would that be for the '03 308 Mann's or will the Rem 900 5.56 Mann's be included?

Thumbs up

Well I am making the rail for the 03A actions. As far as I know the 2 guys that have the 223s have Remington actions. Besides not much of a market for 2 people. A pretty niche market even at this. Just figure after I make the first one for myself I will make a couple extras if it works well for my future projects. If there is enough interest I will make extras to sell to other folks at just enough to recover some of my costs of the tooling.
I read your post too quick. I see you already knew they were Remington actions on the 223 Mann devices we know about. I am pretty sure there is something commercially available for them already but if not I don't see why something couldn't be figured out.

I am going to call my gunsmith friend who is doing a lot of this part of the work. I am trying to talk him into photographing and posting the entire process. Since we lost so much of the knowledge we had on these devices and working on them I want to pay back to the forums if I can. Hopefully it will also help others with their builds. Last I am hoping it generates some business for my friend Nathaniel Meyers. His business is Meyers Arms and he is located in Wooster, Ohio. Great guy and does great work!

Are you thinking about mounting them to the barrel?

I can see it but it looks like the link is to your entire album.

I think this is the direct link.

Thanks TLB! I just deleted that link and will let everyone look at the link you posted. I was afraid I had done exactly what you said. The help is much appreciated!
Mike

So what do you all think? Good? Bad? Ugly? Suggestions if any?
Thanks again.
