Lightbulb How to Properly Backup and Recover your data

The following is taken from my "Known Issues" page:

On some of the newer operating systems, "File > Backup Database" is not working as intended. It is supposed to copy the nmcswDB folder to the location of your choice. Unfortunately it copies much more - Don't use it!

"File > Recover Databae" copies everything that was "backed up" to your nmcswDB folder so, for those systems where "File > Backup Database" is not working, "File > Recover Database" is broken as well.

Please backup and recover your data in this way:

Backup:

Copy the nmcswDB folder (or your entire NM Collector Software directory) to a backup location of your choice. Please see this video for an example.

Recover:

Copy your backed up cppy of nmcswDB (or your entire NM Collector Software directory) to the location where you placed NM Collector Software. Please see this video for an example.

Thanks!

Yes sir. I did remove the old backup procedure from the software since it was not consistent across all operating systems.

Thanks,

Clay
