Unhappy John "Jack" Richardson - Eastern Insurance/Historic Firearms Insurance - Has Passed away

FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENT

BELOW IS A COPY OF A LETTER THAT I RECEIVED THIS MORNING DATED 8-08-2018 FROM THE PRESIDENT AND CEO OF EASTERN INSURANCE CO. Hope A. Aldrich.
---------------------------------------------------------------
.. I want to inform you of John "Jack" Richardson's passing.
Jack's insurance career was lengthy and successful. He & his good friend, Don Reilly, were both members of the 34th Bat Virginia Cavalry, which was a civil war reenactment club & competitive Black Powder shooting team. They shared a love of guns, history and insurance.
From this, the Historic Firearms and Collectibles insurance program (HFI) was created. Jack was proud of the program and what he and Don had accomplished.

Jack leaves behind his wife Melissa, three children Rebecca, David & Colby, their spouses and 3 grandchildren.

All of us at Eastern Insurance share in their sorrow.

We will continue to operate in a manner consistent with Jack's Standards, Laura Sewall's unwaivering commitment to servicing Jacks clients will continue and Don Reilly ,Senior VP, will provide oversight of the Historic Firearms Program. We will miss Jack's love of life & Family, his sense of humor and his commitment to community. JACK was a true professional, a gentleman and wonderful colleague.

He was a true gentleman and easy to deal with, that a company took the time to send out letters to let clients know of the company loss speaks volumes of the high esteem that they held him in.

I always had good dealings with Jack. RIP.
