They're not made for that. You can fly with them all day and they don't get in the way but I would not carry one for CCW in that holster.

I'd go with a well made level II holster with a thumbsnap, just to have a piece of leather between the hammer and the firing pin should there be a quantum shift and the seer give out. Yeah, that's a one in a bazillion chance but it's a model 70 1911 so that's what I'd do.

it is funny there was an issue shoulder rig I have one they dont seem to have been common pistol under left arm single mag under right
