New member, just received my 1943 1911A1 from CMP program
I was lucky back in the 80's to qualify for one of the Garands from DCM
I have an all original 1903 RIA 5 digit rifle (1907) bought from Army Surplus store in the 60's
I hunted with this gun for years and didn't know they were supposed to explode due to brittle
metal. I will post pics of how we modified rear ladder sights back in the 60's to hunt deer with if interested. I am happy to get a 45 to go with that Garand at last!

New member. Hello everyone. Just received my 1911 from CMP 2 weeks ago. It appears that I have a Remington Rand slide on a Colt 1911A1frame. It is service grade. I am very happy with how it looks. The serial # lookup says its from 1945.
