    S-C 03A3 find...

I had a chance to stop by the CMP South Store the other day and this little 75 year old followed me home. The bore is a little dark, but it measures 1/1.3 (TE/ME)... the front sight is a little crooked and the rear sight doesn't have any clicks in the windage adjustment. There is also a ding in the handguard. All in all not too bad though.

    SN indicates a 2/43 build

    6 groove 12/42 S-C barrel

P mark on underside of barrel

    Stock markings:

Not sure what the "2" indicates

    Another "2" on the bolt

Someone told me they thought it was an S-C stock, but I am not sure the profile is correct

Does it have the 6 groove barrel?

Nice!!! It does appear to be a correct SC stock.
The diamond with the number is a give away....

A couple of years ago I glommed a sportered SC 03A3 to use as a base for a Faux 03A4. It has a 12-42 6 groove barrel also.

Nice looking rifle, congrats. I really need to make a trip down there.

Interesting double stamp on the barrel date. I'm guessing the barrel is correct, but most 3630000 rifles I've seen have a 1-43 date, but overlap of some parts is common in the early production months.

I noticed the double stamp as well...

I meant to include the tag in the original post... I found it interesting that it was inspected 1.5 years ago, and just now put out.
