Does the CMP ever actually answer any of the posts in these threads?

Most of the time someone besides CMP answers questions in this thread before CMP has a chance to respond.

And that is where confusion begins. Not all those independent answers are correct. "Ask CMP" should be just that, asked of, and answered by, CMP.

My question is why is the auction listing for the Unertl 100mm Spotting Telescope misidentified. I see the label on the box was misspelled "Unterl" by the AMU, but the M110 number is not a model designation. it is the serial number of the scope. I noticed that the 100mm scope I won on the auction a few years ago had the same misspelling, but at least it was listed properly on the auction site. I had to make a new box for my scope and I used the same label, misspelling and all, on it. I figured it was an interesting insight to how the Army works.
