The post is "Beating California's Tough Gun Laws "

Where there’s a will there’s a way. A recent ad on an on-line gun sales site is selling an AK47 rifle that is California legal. What the seller did was make the rifle a pump action. The gas recoil system was deactivated and a slide action is used to operate the feed and eject system. The seller claim the rifle can use 30 round magazines and be California legal. In the AR 15 rifle the binary trigger fires two round per trigger pull and release.

Where there’s a will there’s a way.

I read up on the 'pump' AR where the float tube was re-engineered into a fore-end. It was a pretty spendy rifle but the implementation looked very well thought-out.
