A perfect rifle has no history outside of the history of the type of rifle it is. The original as issued rifles likely spent the entire time packed away as a reserve rifle or as an armory "queen" never issued, just accounted for. Weapons that are carried for duty get beat up, 9mm berettas carried by me during tours were beat up from the top grip screw to the mag bottom from carry, slide finish was worn heavily around the high points. the brand new pistols issued looked pretty doggy after 9-10 months of carry and use.

Very happy with my new rifle. comments, opinions, snide remarks?

I have to wonder if your rifle and my 6.089 were rack mates at one time. It has the same type of number marking but was #97.

And now we know why they are slow at getting them out. Two trips thru the time machine. One to go get them and one to return to today's time.
