My boss's RNG#7884, field grade, 1911, SER#259813, shipped to Springfield on 3/27/1918 (thanks bearpack for information). Colt with replacement slide. Couple of pics taken at FFL on 8/9/2019, he went on vacation the day it arrived so it's waiting for pickup and more detailed inspection. One 'SA' rebuild mark.

I think I am a little disappointed with my field grade RNG 7668 (didn't have any service grade available when they called), what do you guys think? Can anyone tell me anything they may know that I haven't been able to figure out or if I'm wrong? I think it is a 1919 frame with a '50-'53 hardened slide? It looks like an original 1911, but looks like it has an A1 trigger? Honestly disappointed because I have seen other field grades in better condition or more complete, but open to seeing if anyone else could give me more information and maybe means this one has seen some action in its life.?? Thanks in advance.

Friend with RNG 82xx received this 1917 service grade yesterday. His first pistol. Looks like one SA rebuild then some honest use after that. We'll see how she shoots this weekend.

A980 is the only mark I can't decode. Figure it is the arsenal rebuild.

Thanks!

And yes, the trigger guard was bent...but I liked this pistol too much to not keep it.
Here are a couple of pics after (mostly) straightening it:

The scars/scrapes were there around where the trigger guard took a nice "hit".

I just received this Service Grade M1911. It's a Colt with a RR slide. Does this look like the original finish?

RNG 5884, Field Grade, 1911, Colt 1919 production, Ithaca slide, HS barrel, OG rebuild marks, my current production Colt double diamond grip panels. Very, VERY pleased. This is the third one in my group of people that submitted orders and I like mine best (even if I wasn't biased towards my own I would!)!!

thank you CMP
