My RGN is in the 18,000's. I'd love to get a crack at something like yours. It looks nice to me.

Not a whole helluva lot wrong with that FG!!!

Looks like a nice '50s SPRINGFIELD ARSENAL build consisting of a post-WWI COLT receiver, COLT hard slide, and a mix of A1 parts!!!

I'd consider it $950.00 well spent!!!

Totally can relate, mine is rolling her eyes because I am researching as well! Any info on my gun's marks that you can decipher from your research?

Looks like a very nice legit rebuild. Did you pay all matching numbers and maker price? if not then you received a very nice pistol at an excellent price. Absolutely no reason to be whining over that pistol.

Personally, I think it's a really good example of the history of these firearms. My wife and I were in the midst of buying a house when the whole 1911 thing started so I had to pull my order form from the outgoing mail. I have kicked myself everyday and lived vicariously through everyone else's photos.
