Default a4 clone questions

I recently built a a4 clone, I used a remington a3 action with a 2-44 new old stock remington barrel. I had to remove the factory front sight and noticed that there was no parkerizing under it. Without re-parkerizing the whole barrel, what can I apply that matches original park? Is there a product like cold blue for parkerized metal? I have been watching the posts on the Old West Scrounger model 84s and will buy one with rings when available in the mean time im using an old k-6. This has been an interesting project, but I would never do it again.

you can some paint from Brownell's that I used on the gas block of my M1 might look OK, best I can tell you, if the rest of the rifle's park is good you might be able to get just the end of the barrel re-parked, call Timm Shufflin and ask him.
Always looking for a good deal on M1903 stuff.
