Default New in wrap 1944 Garand barrel?
Can anyone help identify this as a legitimate NIW '44 barrel?

Looks authentic to me. A number of 1944 SA barrels came out in the mix years back when the CMP was selling 1950's NOS barrels for cheap.

Thats what I thought too, I picked up a few niw barrels from the Greek returns over 10 years ago but they were '51 and '52 mostly.
