We actually switched over to the new server about 6 months ago. I'm not sure why some of you are getting red x's. I've tried 3 different browsers on several computers and cannot replicate the issue. We have also had the new odcmp.com page for a couple months now.

We either get complaints about how the old site looks old, or we get complaints about how the new site looks new.

I certainly didn't mean to complain or sound ungrateful. Until about three days ago, my "old" link worked perfectly, and suddenly, it didn't. As the CMP forums is one of my favorite websites, I was a little concerned. I finally accessed the forums page but noted the web address was different than it was 3 days before and wanted to see if the address had been changed I still don't quite understand what happened, but, as I can now get on again, it is not a big deal. Most people still seem to be having trouble with the red Xs, me included.

I moderate on other forums, so I can "feel your pain".

No worries. The redirect has been enabled for the past 6 months. I have no idea why the images are not showing up for some users. For the life of me I cannot duplicate the issue on my end. What browser are you using?

The top left red X has this for the link:

http://www.thecmp.org/images/cmpsalesheader_01.gif

Don't exist, as far as I can find.

I'm using the latest IE. The problem with the red X's is intermittent; sometimes the banner shows and sometimes it doesn't.

Ghost,
My redirect quit working, too. I'm using IE version version 8.0.6001.
I tried the link from the web page and all I got was a cached version of the Forum with no links. I thought you were down. This morning the redirect still didn't work, so I tried the web page again, and this time it worked. I saw the new URL, so I saved it and deleted the old one. I'm not sure what changed or where, as I have been using this browser for about a year or so now.
But all is well now.

Somebody had a blonde moment and forgot to "put" the changes.
