Default I found an M1 carbine at a pawn shop

IT is a 32xxxxx Inland with a Trimble stock, ultra nice park on it,
flat bolt in blue[dulite]??. Type 3 band, low wood adj rear sight.

This is without a doubt the nicest carbine I have ever laid eyes on, the park is flawless, it measures less than 1 on both ends, the receiver/bolt pairing is tight, and even just a bit "gritty" as if almost new.

Don't know about the inside, I may go back and ask for a look.

Comes with a very minty bayonet and scabbard, original sling, and three mag's, a 5 a 15 and a 30.

He wants 1100.00, any thoughts

Does it appear to be GI park or a commercial refinish? Import stamp?

Looks like original GI park, and no import stamp.

One thing I noted about it, the serial number, while the numbers are very strong,
appear [to my eye] to be in a different font than usual, and smaller than some I have seen.

Any thoughts on that. Maybe it is my old eyes.

Could it be a six digit receiver? The numbers could be larger in that case though.

There were also Saginaw SG receivers supplied to Inland ( six and seven digit both ) that have a different font than Inland made receivers, that could be throwing you off too. And of course it could be your eyes as you say. Sounds like a good overall deal for a rebuild, especially with the side items included.

As long as there are no issues, the goodies that come with it and the apparent mint barrel muzzle reading make it seem like an average deal. It’s not a great deal, but not bad either. Higher end retail for an Inland in my opinion. The great barrel is the tipping point. Maybe he will come down $100? If so that would be a lot sweeter

I got him to come down to 950.00. I got a bayo and sheath, but I think it is later than WW2.
Several mag's, sling [repro]. but the rifle is very tight and in very good shape.

I am going to make a shooter out of it.

I found out after I bought it, that it is an IBM rifle with Inland barrel.
