Default New guy from north central Indiana

I purchased a Remington 1903A3 from my local gun store about a year ago on a whim. That sparked an interest in milsurps. Since then I've acquired a vintage 1911 and now I'm looking for a Garand.

I'm debating on ordering one or making the drive to the north store. This forum is great. There is a wealth of information here.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your hunt for a M1. If you can make the trip, going to the North store and picking out your own would be very satisfying experience. Eddie

Thank you! jwvargas you're about 100 miles north of me. I have taken the train from Chesterton to Chicago a few times.

Default Re; Debating the drive.

I'm with you on that. Its about 12 hour drive for me.
Then there the wife thing; I can hear it already w/ another "paper weight" to take up more space.
Enjoy it while you can, would be my advice. Its a beautiful country out there. Though some place have been a little neglected.
