Default WTB M1 Garand receiver & op rod or drill rifle for cut away project

I'm gathering parts up for a "cutaway" display M1 Garand project for the spring.

I am looking for an M1 Receiver that looks ok, but is unusable or unsafe to fire.

I'm going to try to do something similar to this;

I have a barrel that swallows a muzzle gauge that will be milled to show the chamber in the rear and the gas port in the front.
I have an out of spec gas cylinder to be milled as well.
Really, over the years I have acquired most all other parts except an oprod that is a good candidate for such a project.

If you have a Garand receiver with a cracked receiver heel, or possibly a complete drill rifle that is welded up front and is unsavable for a firing rifle, please let me know.

Thanks!!

How do you feel about a re-weld receiver?

Probably would be fine.
As long as it looks Ok, and allows function enough to cycle it manually it should be ok.
Like I mentioned, the barrel will be cut away to show the chamber as well as many other parts so the gas system and functions of the M1 can be shown.
It will never be fired and will be adjusted so it cannot.

Just didn't want to use a good receiver for this project.

I have a -3 op rod that not quite in spec. Tab is worn. If still needed, make me an offer as I have no idea what it would be worth.

Thank you for the oprod. I have everything except the receiver now. If anyone has one that isnt usable I'd sure like to use it as a display.

Thanks!!
